About Us
Terra Mater is a private foundation (501c3) that was started in 2019 with the goal of helping groups conserve biodiversity and protect wildlife globally, with a special focus on South Asia and Eastern and Southern Africa. Through our extensive relationships in the field and decades of experience working in conservation and development, Terra Mater is well positioned to support high impact groups around the world.
Vetting Process/ Grant life cycle:
All donees go through extensive due-diligence prior to grants being made. This due-diligence will consist of: phone calls, zoom meetings and on-site visits. A careful consideration of the groups' track record of activities and achievements will be taken into account. In addition, a description of the key activities to be undertaken and associated budgets will be considered and then tracked. At the end of each project, a closure report will be submitted with an assessment of the outcome of the grant.
